March 2026
March 1st: 2026 Camping Season Official Opening
March 3: Full Moon Weekend. (Worm Moon, & Luner Eclipse)
Pagan, Wicken, metaphysical folks and Moon Worshipers to come together. An early morning Blood Moon/Luner Eclipse will happen as the moon begins to set 5:04am and ends at 6:03am with the setting of the moon. That evening, dance naked in the light of the moon, at our own natural “Stonehenge” and hill-top campfire area, recharge your crystals and your soul.
March 6-8: Circle J Anniversary Party.
The Circle J campground comes of age as we celebrate 21 years serving the Texas gay community. Come celebrate with us, Complementary beer bust, Pool and Dart tournaments. Check out the newly renovated Media/gaming lounge at the Lodge.
March 13-15: Open Camping.
“Open Camping” refers to Non-event weekend. Regular camping, Cabins, RV, sites and private rooms open for accommodations.
March 17th: St. Patrick’s Day
March 20-22: Spring Equinox (Spring begins)
The New Moon was the 19th, so this is Darkest Weekend
March 28: NO KINGS PROTEST Help support Democracy in our fine Republic!

March 27-29: Open Camping
We encourage everyone to attend a No Kings Protest in your area. We also would like to invite you to come out, camp, and join us at our local event in Athens. Help us make our voices heard.
April 2026
April 3-5: Full Moon Weekend. (Pink Moon)
Come out and celebrate the full moon. Actual Full Moon (Pink Moon) is1 April – Come out Thursday!) A great time for Moon Worshipers, Sprites, Faeries, Wizards and other Magical Creatures. Come dance naked under the moon, charge your crystals and commune with nature, and like-minded men. Also, Good Friday and Easter Sunday are this weekend.
April 10-12: Open Camping weekend
April 17-19: New Moon Friday.
New moon events (or Darkest weekends) are the great for stargazing. But don’t forget your flashlights, or you may find yourself groping around to getting your bearings.
April 22: (Wednesday) Earth Day

May 2026
May 1-3: Full Moon weekend (Flower Moon)
The actual full moon is Friday. A great weekend for Wickens, witches and werewolves. Come recharge your crystals, bathe yourself in moonlight, or just howl at the moon. Our “Stonehenge” campfire is a great way to enjoy the night.
May 5: Cinco de Mayo
May 8-10: Open Camping weekend (also Mother’s Day Sunday)
May 15-17: New Moon Weekend.
Saturday is the new moon, bring your flashlight there will be no moon light to guide you. Come on out for some great stargazing away from city lights. Hang by the fire and commune with nature.
June 2026

Juneteenth (Friday 19th) Celebrate the emancipation of slavery in Texas Summer Solstice (Sunday 21st) Longest day of the 2026 & official beginning of Summer also Father’s Day (Sunday)
June 26-28: Full Moon weekend. (Strawberry Moon)
(Actual full moon Monday 29 June) Come out and enjoy the waxing moon, dance naked at the “Stonehenge campfire” Might be a great weekend for a drum circle.
July 2026
July 3-5: Independence Day Weekend
The fourth of July falls on Saturday this year, so let’s have an old fashion cook-out picnic/pool party! Complementary dogs, burgers and beer. Fireworks display after sunset. This will be a blast of a weekend event. Come out and join the fun!
July 10-12: Open Camping Weekend
July 17-19: Open Camping Weekend

July 31- August 2: Full Moon Weekend (Buck Moon)
The actual full moon was on July 29, so this will be a waning moon, but still bright enough to leave your flashlights behind and enjoy our Stonehenge campfire under the light of the newly waning moon.
August 2026
August 7-9: Open Camping Weekend
August 14-16: Open Camping Weekend This is a darkest weekend.
The new moon was Wednesday the 12th, so this will be another good stargazing weekend.
August 21-23: Open Camping Weekend
August 25-27: Full Moon Weekend (Sturgeon Moon)
The full moon will be Saturday so bring your crystals, dance naked under the light of the full moon, maybe we can put together a drum circle.
September 2026
September 4-7: Labor Day weekend.
Come on out and join the fun. There will be a Pool Party cook-out, complementary beer on tap, and community campfire at “Stonehenge”. Get your reservations in early. Our 3 cabins, 4 private rooms, and RV sites will fill up quickly.
September 11-13: Open Camping, Darkest weekend.
The New moon is Friday, so it will be another great weekend for stargazing.
September 18-20: Open Camping Weekend
September 25-27: Full Moon Weekend. (Harvest Moon)
The full moon is on Saturday. Another magical weekend for moon worshipers, Sprites, & Faeries. Come out and join the fun.
October 2026
October 2-4: Open Camping Weekend
October 9-11: Darkest Weekend. (New Moon)
The New Moon is on Saturday, so this is the Darkest Weekend, bring your flashlights and expect some spectacular stargazing.
October 12: Indigenous People’s Day
October 16-18: Open Camping Weekend
October 23-25: Full Moon Weekend. (Hunter’s Moon)
The actual Full Moon will happen Monday the 26th, so extend your stay through Monday dance naked, recharge your favorite crystals, or just bathe yourself in bright moon light.
October 30-November 1: Halloween Weekend.
Goblins, Ghosts, and all Creatures of the Night. Come join the festivities! Costume Contest, Pumpkin Carving, Hard Cider, Lots of fun!
November 2026
November 6-8: Darkest Weekend.
The New Moon is on Monday, so the last sliver of the waning moon will be seen making for a great stargazing weekend.
November 13-15: Chili Cook-Off weekend.
Probably our most popular Autumn event, and certainly the longest running annual Event. No entrance fee for contestants, Cash Prizes for best Chili and best presentation. $10 for unlimited Chili lunch, gets you all the chili you can eat (while supplies last), bowl, spoon and ballot to vote for your favorite chilies, and best presentation.
November 20-22: Full Moon Weekend. (Beaver Moon)
The actual full moon isn’t till Tuesday the 24th, so this will be a waxing moon (nearly full). Of course, you are certainly welcome and encouraged to stay through till Tuesday and experience the November full moon.
November 24: Full Moon (Beaver Moon)
November 26: Thanksgiving Day.
Open for camping, RVing, Cabins, and rooms, however, Kitchen and other ancillary services will be suspended.
November 27-30: Post Thanksgiving Weekend.
Come relax and recharge after the chaos of family gatherings.
December 2026
December 4-6: Open Camping Weekend

December 21: Winter Solstice
Welcome all Wickens, Pagans and Druids to celebrate the Winter Solstice, the promise of renewal and the longest night of the year. with feasts, burning of the Yule log, exchanging and planting of seeds.
December 24-27: Full Moon weekend. (Cold Moon/Super Moon)
Full Moon is Christmas Eve. Christmas Day is Friday. Accommodations will be available for reservations; however, the Circle J Cafe’ kitchen and other ancillary services will be suspended.
New Year’s Eve Party & weekend
December 31-January 3rd: New Year’s Eve party Friday night. Party snacks and complementary cocktails start at 9pm. Get a room, cabin or RV site, so there’s no need to worry about driving or getting home safely if you’ve had a bit too much. Just walk back to your room or other accommodation, sleep-in. The New Year’s Brunch starts at 10am (10:00am – 1:00pm). The Circle J Cafe’ will offer a special New Year’s Eve menu with traditional New Years dishes, as well as our usual great menu items. Come join in all the Fun!
